Robert Thomas
CEO

Robert Thomas has been at the forefront of the network and security technology industries, and brings more than 25 years of executive experience creating, building and managing profitable enterprise technology businesses. Most recently, Robert served as President and CEO for global network control company Infoblox (NYSE: BLOX), and prior to that, he served as President and CEO of NetScreen Technologies, a network security company. He joined both companies in the very early stages and took them both public. Earlier in his career, Robert held a variety of senior management positions at Sun Microsystems, Fujitsu and ICL.

Carson Sweet
CO-FOUNDER AND CHIEF STRATEGY OFFICER

Carson Sweet is co-founder and chief strategy officer for CloudPassage. As founding CEO, Carson led the team that created Halo, the patented security platform that changes the way enterprises achieve infrastructure protection and compliance. Carson’s information security career spans three decades and includes a broad range of entrepreneurial, management and hands-on technology experience. Carson and his teams have created groundbreaking security solutions across a range of industries and public sectors, with heavy focus on financial services, federal government, and high-tech. Carson focuses on long-term product, technology, and business strategy as CloudPassage expands market share through existing and emerging cloud security solutions. He also serves as chairman of the CloudPassage board of directors.

Vitaliy Geraymovych
CO-FOUNDER AND SVP, ADVANCED ENGINEERING

With years of experience in engineering management, Vitaliy Geraymovych has hands-on development capabilities that span the application life cycle: design, prototyping, implementation, deployment, performance and quality assurance.

Vitaliy’s design and engineering skills span multiple enterprise application platforms, agile development methodologies, extreme programming, and test-driven development. His experience extends to managing these processes for large-scale projects and teams.

Mitch Bishop
CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER

Mitch is an experienced, high integrity business leader with a successful track record of driving high growth enterprise software companies in a variety of disciplines (mobile, CMS, software visualization, CRM, databases). Prior to CloudPassage, Mitch led the marketing organizations at Moovweb, DNN Corp. and iRise, where he also managed a high growth inside sales team. Prior to that, he held senior marketing roles at Sybase, Wind River Systems and Ingres. He started his career as a UNIX kernel programmer and engineering manager. Mitch also sits on the governing council of the non-profit International Motor Racing Research Center in Watkins Glen, NY.

Kent Erickson
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS

Kent Erickson brings more than 25 years of experience managing the delivery of software technology to customers. He recently served as Novell’s Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Identity and Security Management business unit, as well as their Collaboration Software business unit, which included the flagship NetWare operating system franchise. As general manager, Kent was directly responsible to the CEO and Board of Directors for all P&L operations of these businesses.

Ram Krishnan
CHIEF PRODUCT OFFICER

Ram Krishnan brings extensive experience in product strategy and business execution from nimble start-ups to global corporations. He was most recently General Manager for HP’s $900M Application Lifecycle Management business unit, and prior to that ran Symantec’s Risk and Compliance business. As SVP of Products and Marketing, he drove GuardianEdge’s transformation from niche player to Gartner market leader, instrumental to their acquisition by Symantec. Earlier, Ram was a founding executive at Elemental, where he played a crucial role in shaping innovative products and led the award-winning market launch; oversaw Product Management and Product Marketing at ValiCert from zero revenue through IPO; and led PM and PMM for ground-breaking products at Internet pioneer Netscape.

Sohail Parekh
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF ENGINEERING

Sohail Parekh brings more than 20 years of experience in leading diverse engineering teams to conceptualize, build and deliver business-critical products and services for a number of high-tech industries including Networking and Security. Prior to CloudPassage, Sohail was the Executive Vice President of Engineering at Infoblox, where as a key member of the senior executive team he helped take the company through a successful Initial Public Offering (IPO). Through timely delivery of Infoblox’s highly differentiated products, he contributed to doubling company revenues in the first three years as a public company. During his time at Infoblox, Sohail led a global team of more than 300 engineers deliver numerous innovative Security, Analytics and Networking software products– generating sustained growth and helping Infoblox become the market leader in the core network services category. Prior to Infoblox, Sohail served as a Vice President of Engineering at Vernier Networks, Inc., a network identity management and access control products company. Before Vernier, Sohail co-founded and served as Vice President of Engineering at Syndeo Corp., a communication software company.

Steve Shevick
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Steve Shevick has more than 18 years of senior executive experience, including 10 years as CFO of public and private technology companies. He served ten years as General Counsel and CFO of Synopsys, Inc, a $7 billion public company and the leader in the electronic design automation software industry. Following Synopsys Steve served as CFO of Wyse Technology, recently acquired by Dell, as part of the turnaround team following a leveraged buyout, where he managed finance, manufacturing, legal, HR and IT.

Mark Stephenson
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES

Mark Stephenson drives worldwide sales for CloudPassage. Mark is an accomplished sales leader who brings enterprise solution selling experience and CXO partnering expertise to CloudPassage. He most recently led sales in the Western Region for $8 billion global data center solutions provider, Digital Realty Trust. Prior to that, Stephenson built Hewlett Packard’s networking salesforce and grew the company’s core routing and switching business. At Cisco, he led and developed a senior team of 45 enterprise account managers to grow Cisco’s business within key healthcare, high-tech, financial and retail accounts.

Bart Westerink
SENIOR DIRECTOR OF SECURITY AND COMPLIANCE

As Senior Director of Security and Compliance, Bart Westerink is responsible for global information security architecture, information risk assessment, security event correlation and monitoring, control design and deployment, and information system regulatory compliance.

Prior to joining CloudPassage, Bart spent 13 years at Salesforce where he held various roles in Information Technology, Technology Operations and Security. As Director of Security, Bart was responsible for enhancing the overall security posture of Salesforce acquisitions. Prior to Salesforce, Bart held engineering roles at various venture-backed startups.

Kevin Harvey
BENCHMARK CAPITAL

A seasoned entrepreneur and one of the founders of Benchmark Capital, Kevin Harvey has extensive business-building experience as well as a longtrack record of developing innovative technologies into successful enterprises.

At Benchmark Capital, Harvey has invested in a number of companies that have gone to successful IPOs, including Red Hat and Proofpoint. He also led the firm’s investments in companies like Broadbase Software, CollabNet, Eucalyptus Systems, Ingenio, Kana, MySQL, Rightscale, Zimbra and others. Kevin received his B.S. degree in engineering from Rice University in 1987.

Brian Melton
TENAYA CAPITAL

Brian Melton is a Managing Director of Tenaya Capital, and has been a member of the Tenaya investment team since 2000. Previously, Brian was a member of Lehman Brothers’ private equity fund, where he worked in the fund’s Hong Kong and New York offices. Prior to joining the private equity fund, he was a member of Lehman Brothers’ financial sponsors coverage group in the investment banking division.

Ravi Mhatre
LIGHTSPEED VENTURE PARTNERS

Ravi is a founder and managing partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners where he focuses on investments in cloud, Internet and enterprise IT services and applications. Ravi has 19 years of venture capital experience and before entering venture capital he ran a product management group at Silicon Graphics and also worked in management consulting at Booz Allen and as a software engineer for BDIS, a Silicon Valley biotech instruments manufacturer.

Ravi holds a BS in Electical Engineering and a BA in Economics from Stanford University and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Jason Pressman
SHASTA VENTURES

Jason leads the enterprise practice at Shasta Ventures and invests across a range of sectors including enterprise software, SaaS, cloud and consumer services.

Prior to joining Shasta in 2005, Jason was Vice President, Strategy and Operations at venture-backed Walmart.com, where he took the online retailer from zero to large scale revenue in five years. His experience growing that business into one of the largest retailers online informs his understanding of how to thoughtfully scale fast-growing businesses, as well as how to use software to improve operations.
