CloudPassage is going to Black Hat! Are you?

From July 30-August 4, we will be at the Black Hat conference in Las Vegas as a Platinum sponsor. Throughout the week, we will be headlining and attending a number of activities. We’d love to see you there!

Attend our workshop

Aaron McKeown, lead security architect for Xero, along with Sami Laine, principal technologist for CloudPassage, will be headlining a workshop, Best Practices for Workload Security Moving to Cloud Environments.

In this workshop, learn best practices for maintaining server security in the new world of fast-paced IT deployment:

  • Bake security in, don’t bolt security on
  • Align security deployment methods with IT deployment methods
  • Create design patterns for security
  • Architect for the present and the future

The sessions are at Wednesday, August 3 from 1:50pm – 2:40pm and again from 3:00pm – 3:50pm in Mandalay Bay J.

Meet with us 1-on-1

We understand that your week is going to be packed with sessions and meetings, and that sometimes it isn’t guaranteed to get some quality time with a representative. We have set up an easy-to-use calendar on which you can schedule either 15-minute or 30-minute meetings with us throughout the week.

Visit us at booth #332 in the business hall

Catch a presentation, get a demo of CloudPassage Halo, meet with an executive, grab a t-shirt, or chat with a cloud security expert at our booth, where you can also see a mini-session:

In our presentation theater, Aaron McKeown, lead security architect for Xero, will speak at 12:00pm, on August 3-4.  Aaron will provide real-world experiences and key learnings as Xero transitioned to AWS Public Cloud and how they deployed CloudPassage as their security orchestration engine. Xero is a cloud-based accounting software company serving over 700,000 subscribers in 180 countries.

Jack Marsal, director of product marketing for CloudPassage, will be speaking in the theater every half hour. His presentation is titled 8 Imperatives of Security Automation for Servers and Cloud Workloads.

Ask an expert

At the booth, you can talk to a cloud security expert in an “Ask-Me-Anything” fashion. Along with our qualified CloudPassage colleagues, our friends from Amazon Web Services, CSC, Set Solutions, and Adapture will also be on-hand as security experts.

Find the experts in blue and red t-shirts throughout booth #332!

Share your security knowledge

If you’re a CISO or security professional with a strong vision about the future of security in the modern infrastructure, we want to interview you! (As of now, there are still a few 15-minute interview slots left.)

Share your thoughts on hardening the cloud, shared responsibility, and securing and managing traffic in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.  We’ll be posting these interviews on our blog and via our social channels in the weeks to follow. If you are interested in participating, send your name, title and company to lwilliams@cloudpassage.com to request an interview time.

If you’re camera shy but still want to weigh in on the discussion, we’ll be conducting a very brief (5 minutes or less), anonymous, multiple-choice survey in the booth and around the halls.

For more information about CloudPassage and the Black Hat conference, visit the Black Hat website or read one of our executive interviews: Robert Thomas, CEO, CloudPassage; Sami Laine, principal technologist, CloudPassage.

It’s going to be a busy week, and we look forward to seeing you there!
