Management

Carson Sweet, Co-Founder and CEO

As co-founder and CEO of CloudPassage, Carson Sweet's information security career spans nearly two decades and includes a broad range of entrepreneurial, management and hands-on technology experience.

A senior information security strategy and technology consultant, Carson has created groundbreaking security solutions across a range of industries and public sectors. Prior to co-founding CloudPassage Carson served as RSA's principal solutions architect for the financial services sector, where he specifically focused on virtualization & cloud security, Internet application controls, data protection and anti-fraud.


Vitaliy Geraymovych, Co-Founder and Vice President of Engineering

With years of experience in engineering management, Vitaliy Geraymovych has hands-on development capabilities that span the application life cycle: design, prototyping, implementation, deployment, performance and quality assurance.

Vitaliy's design and engineering skills span multiple enterprise application platforms, agile development methodologies, extreme programming, and test-driven development. His experience extends to managing these processes for large-scale projects and teams.


Kent Erickson, Senior Vice President of Operations

Kent Erickson brings over 25 years of experience managing the delivery of software technology to customers. He recently served as Novell's Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Identity and Security Management business unit, as well as their Collaboration Software business unit, which included the flagship NetWare operating system franchise. As general manager, Kent was directly responsible to the CEO and Board of Directors for all P&L operations of these businesses.


Steve Shevick, Chief Financial Officer

Steve Shevick has more than 18 years of senior executive experience, including 10 years as CFO of public and private technology companies. He served ten years as General Counsel and CFO of Synopsys, Inc, a $1 billion public company and the leader in the electronic design automation software industry. Following Synopsys Steve served as CFO of Wyse Technology, recently acquired by Dell, as part of the turnaround team following a leveraged buyout, where he managed finance, manufacturing, legal, HR and IT.


Amrit Williams, Chief Technology Officer

Amrit Williams has over 20 years of experience in information technology and is currently the CTO of CloudPassage. Previously Williams was the Director of Emerging Security Technologies and CTO for mobile computing at IBM. Prior to IBM, Williams was a research director in the Information Security and Risk Research Practice at Gartner, Inc. where he covered vulnerability and threat management, network security, security information and event management, risk management, and secure application development. Previously, Williams was a director of engineering for nCircle Network Security, and undertook leadership positions at Consilient Inc., Network Associates, and McAfee Associates.


Brian Harmon, Vice President of Sales

With over 25 years in sales and sales management, Brian Harmon has built a solid legacy of ensuring positive advancements through careful management of world class sales teams. Previous to CloudPassage, Brian served as SVP of sales at Regulus, VP of Sales at Trend Micro, and most recently with Palo Alto Networks as VP of the Americas, leading the charge for one of the most successful IPOs in recent times. While reporting directly to the CEOs and handling all field operations, he has built highly productive sales teams generating continuous growth in the millions. Brian holds a B.A. degree from The Pennsylvania State University.


Bart Westerink, Senior Director of Security and Compliance

As Director of Security and Compliance, Bart Westerink is responsible for global information security architecture, information risk assessment, security event correlation and monitoring, control design and deployment, and information system regulatory compliance.

Prior to joining CloudPassage, Bart spent 13 years at Salesforce where he held various roles in Information Technology, Technology Operations and Security. As Director of Security, Bart was responsible for enhancing the overall security posture of Salesforce acquisitions. Prior to Salesforce, Bart held engineering roles at various venture-backed startups.


Board of Directors

Talli Somekh, Co-Founder

Talli Somekh is co-founder and executive chairman for CloudPassage. Talli began his career participating in open source software communities developing web frameworks, databases, programming languages and revision control systems. His early training working with developers in the trenches has been invaluable in his transition to venture capital.


Kevin Harvey, Benchmark Capital

A seasoned entrepreneur and one of the founders of Benchmark Capital, Kevin Harvey has extensive business-building experience as well as a long track record of developing innovative technologies into successful enterprises.

At Benchmark Capital, Harvey has invested in a number of companies that have gone to successful IPOs, including Red Hat and Proofpoint. He also led the firm's investments in companies like Broadbase Software, CollabNet, Eucalyptus Systems, Ingenio, Kana, MySQL, Rightscale, Zimbra and others.

Kevin received his B.S. degree in engineering from Rice University in 1987.


Brian Melton, Tenaya Capital

Brian Melton is a Managing Director of Tenaya Capital, and has been a member of the Tenaya investment team since 2000. Previously, Brian was a member of Lehman Brothers' private equity fund, where he worked in the fund's Hong Kong and New York offices. Prior to joining the private equity fund, he was a member of Lehman Brothers' financial sponsors coverage group in the investment banking division.


Jason Pressman, Shasta Ventures

Jason leads the enterprise practice at Shasta Ventures and invests across a range of sectors including enterprise software, SaaS, cloud and consumer services.

Prior to joining Shasta in 2005, Jason was Vice President, Strategy and Operations at venture-backed Walmart.com, where he took the online retailer from zero to large scale revenue in five years. His experience growing that business into one of largest retailers online informs his understanding of how to thoughtfully scale fast-growing businesses, as well as how to use software to improve operations.


Larry Link

Larry's operating experience spans three decades and includes leadership roles at four startups. Two of his companies went public, one was acquired and one is thriving as an independent private company. Most recently he was SVP of Worldwide Sales for Palo Alto Networks, growing the company from its first sale in 2007 to IPO in July 2012.

Prior to his role at Palo Alto Networks Larry was SVP of Sales for Silver Peak Systems. He ran Worldwide Sales at Neoteris from inception through its acquisition by Juniper Networks in April 2004. Prior to Neoteris he ran Enterprise Sales for Excite@Home from its launch in 1996, through IPO in 1997 and its subsequent merger with Excite in 1999.
